Eagles vs Patriots Super Bowl LII Preview

super bowl LII 2018 Eagles vs PatriotsSuper Bowl LII features a huge matchup between the New England Patriots, who are looking for their second straight Super Bowl title, and the Philadelphia Eagles at U.S Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The Eagles have never won a Lombardy trophy and last won an NFL Championship in 1960 while the Patriots are aiming for their third Super Bowl win in the last four seasons.

The single biggest matchup in Sunday’s Super Bowl will be the Philadelphia Eagles pass rush against New England’s quarterback Tom Brady.

The Eagles key to beating the Patriots will be to slow down their offense by making Brady uncomfortable. The Eagles defense will have to come ready to play and make every effort to make sure they harass Brady all game long.

The Eagles offense, led by quarterback Nick Foles and head coach Doug Pederson who will have to stay aggressive and not get the foot off the pedal if they want to prevent another legendary comeback by Brady and head coach Bill Belichick.

Brady will be playing in his 8th Super Bowl and will look to become the first quarterback to win six Super Bowls and break a tie with legendary San Francisco quarterback Joe Montana.

The Eagles will look to avenge their loss to the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX where they lost 24-21 despite having a team led by head coach Andy Reid, quarterback Donovan McNabb and All-Pro wide receiver Terell Owens.

The Eagles also lost Super Bowl XV when the Oakland Raiders defeated them 27-10 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.

The Patriots, 5-4 in Super Bowls will try to become only the second NFL team to win six Super Bowls, an honor that right now only hold the Pittsburgh Steelers who are 6-2 in Super Bowls.
