UFC Fight Night 95 Preview

UFC Fight NightUFC Fight Night 95 fight card from Brasilia, Brazil, will feature several interesting fights including the main event between Brazilian Cristiane Justino (a.k.a Cris Cyborg) and Sweden’s Lina Lansberg.

Lansberg, a Muay Thai kickboxing champion, arrives to this fight with a record of 6-1-0 while Cyborg is 16-1-0. This will be Justino’s second fight as a UFC fighter. Cyborg made her UFC debut at UFC 198 against Leslie Smith a fight she won the by TKO in the first round.

Lansberg has finished four of her six fights by knockout, while Justino has knocked out 14 of the 16 fighters she’s faced. The oddmakes favor Justino by a big margin (-1300), while Lansberg faces long odds at +700.

In another fight, American Roy “Big Country” Nelson (22-13-0) will face Brazilian Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (19-9-0). Nelson will try to put behind his struggles as he has lost six out of his last eight fights (five of those by decision). Silva is facing similar troubles as he has lost five out of the last seven fights (all of them in the first round). For this fight the linemakers favor Nelson (-425), while Silva’s line is +315.

Another Brazilian featured Saturday night is Thiago Santos (13-4-0), who will go against American Eric Spicely (8-1-0). Santos, who has won six of his last 10 fights, is coming off a first round TKO defeat at the hands of Gegard Mousasi.

Eight of Santos 13 victories came via KO or TKO, while Spicely has won by submission in four of his eight triumphs.

The last time Spicely stepped in the octagon he fought Sam Alvey, who gave him his first career defeat when he submitted him using a Guillotine choke in the first round.

The odds for this fight are Santos -550 and Spicely +370.
