NFL’s Best Bets Battle Before Playoffs

NFLThe Green Bay Packers clinched their second straight division title with a 21-13 victory over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.  Packers Quarterback Aaron Rogers completed 23 of 36 passes for 291 yards.  It was the Rodgers to James Jones show as they connected for all three Green Bay touchdowns.  All Pro linebacker Clay Matthews had two sacks and hounded the Bears backfield all afternoon.  This game virtually eliminates the Bears from the playoff picture and leads to speculation that Coach Lovie Smith may be on the coaching hot seat.  Others are already talking about a change at quarterback with some Chicago fans are even calling for Tim Tebow.  Bottom line, its playoff time again and the Packers are just getting up on stride as they usually do at this time of the year. Big Weekend In The NFL For Bookies As The Dogs Started Barking

NFL Bookmakers across the country were celebrating a great weekend of sports action as the NFL provided us with thrilling finishes and not just one but four underdogs won big time games against overwhelming odds.

Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts (8-4) went into Detroit to play the Lions as 7 point underdogs.   It was a high scoring, action filled contest which exceeded the pregame totals of 51 by 17 points. BCS Bowl Projections

BCS PredictionsAs the season gets down to the really big games in NCAA football there is much speculation as to which school will go to which bowl game.  OK, with just over a month to go, here is a quick look at how the BCS bowls might look if the season ended today.

The one and only game that everyone seems to agree on is the BCS title game which will be played in Miami on January 7, 2013.  The unanimous choices are, of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oregon Ducks. If this comes off as predicted, we will see the No. 1 scoring defense against the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation.  Fasten your seatbelts and hold on!  It will be a barnburner classic.
