Aaron Rodgers Among Favorite QBs To Pass For Most Yards

Aaron Rodgers PassingAaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger are the quarterbacks most favored by linemakers to pass for most yards this regular season. But let’s take a look at why Aaron Rodgers could be the one to dominate this category in 2016.

Aaron Rodgers should return to form in 2016. Even though during the regular season he scored 31 touchdowns and the Green Bay Packers lost in overtime of the NFC Divisional Playoffs to the Arizona Cardinals, it’s undeniable that Rodgers had a subpar 2015 season yardwise as he finished with the second lowest total of his career since he became a starter in 2008.

Rodgers now has a leaner and stronger Eddie Lacy, who last year was overweight. He also should have a healthy offensive line that excels in blocking and is among the best in the league at defending the line of scrimmage.

In 2015, this unit suffered a myriad of injuries and it affected Rodgers directly. Furthermore, Rodgers is likely to have to have Jordy Nelson, who missed all of the 2015 season due to a preseason injury, back in time for the September 11 opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Other quarterbacks in the run for the title of the most prolific passer are Ben Roesthlisberger, of the Pittsburgh Steelers; Drew Brees, of the New Orleans Saints; Andrew Luck, of the Indianapolis Colts and Carson Palmer, of the Arizona Cardinals.
