2018 UEFA Champions League Draw Results

champions-league-logoThe draw for the 2018 UEFA Champions League group stage resulted in tough groups for Barcelona, and Liverpool.

Real Madrid will try to win it’s fourth UEFA Champions League trophy in a row and fifth in six years, but this time they will have to do it with head coach Zinedine Zidane and striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Italian powerhouse Juventus.

Barcelona, who have lost in the quarterfinals in the last three years will try to win the tournament for the first time since 2014-15. That won’t be easy as they were drawn into this year’s group of death. Five Hitters Are Powering The Yankees To The HR Record Books

Entering play on August 21 the Bronx Bombers have already slugged a major league-leading 202 home runs and are on track to tie the mark of 264 homers set by 1997 Seattle Mariners that featured the likes of Alex Rodriguez, Edgar Martinez, Paul Sorrento, Ken Griffey Jr. and Jay Buhner.

The Yankees long balls are in particular coming from five players that have bashed at least 20 homers each, which marks only the second time that’s been done in franchise history. Most Underrated College Football Teams of 2018

Here are four teams that are likely to do a lot better than people anticipate this year:

4.- Baylor: it’s true that the Bears are not going to win the National Championship, but they are definitely not going to go 1-11 like they did a year ago under Matt Rhule’s first year as head coach.

San Antonio Spurs 2018-19 Preview

lamarcus aldridge san antonio spursThe San Antonio Spurs finally traded Kawhi Leonard after a year-long controversy and in the process obtained some solid players back to help them stay competitive and avoid a rebuilding process at least for now.

The Spurs sent Leonard and long-time Spurs player Danny Green to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl, and a future first-round pick.

Along with adding Marco Belinelli from and forward Dante Cunningham through free agency and Lonnie Walker through the draft the Spurs look to have enough talent to make the playoffs for an NBA record 21st straight season. Continue Reading →
