Chip Kelly Looks To Avoid 0-4 Start As UCLA Travels To Boulder

chip kelly ucla bruinsTwo teams that are coming off their bye week but are going in seemingly opposite directions collide in Boulder on Friday as the 3-0 Colorado hosts the 0-3 UCLA.

Although Chip Kelly was hired in the offseason to improve the Bruins offense UCLA is still looking for its first win of the season and struggling offensively, scoring about 17 points per game. Although the offense is not getting it done for the Bruins, they haven’t been nearly as half as bad as their defense which has allowed an average of about 37 point per game.

J.A Happ’s Stellar Pitching Continues To Bolster Yanks’ Rotation

ja happ new york yankees Since being acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays at the trade deadline pitcher J.A. Happ (15-6, 3.90 ERA) has lived up to the hype as he’s been everything the New York Yankees had hoped for and then some.

After moving to the Bronx, the veteran lefty shined in his first start for New York on July 29, winning his pinstriped debut with a gem as he pitched six innings allowing three hits and one earned run.

On that day Happ was just giving Yankee fans a glimpse of things to come. After a brief stint in the disabled list due to illness, the left-handed flamethrower began August with a solid outing against the Texas Rangers.
