Bullpen Won’t Be Enough For The Brewers To Get Past Dodgers

clayton kershaw dodgers world seriesAs they prepare to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series the red-hot Milwaukee Brewers enter with an impressive streak as they have won 11 consecutive games.

Although the Dodgers have the best rotation in the series the Brewers pitching is also a force to be reckoned with. Although the bullpen is Milwaukee’s strength, in the NLDS the Brewers made a huge statement as they held the Colorado Rockies hitters scoreless in 27 of 28 innings.

Senzatela and Woodruff To Clash In NLDS Opener

The Brewers earned the number one seed in the National League, so they will get home-field advantage all the way to the National League Championship Series if they do advance past the Rockies.

After beating the Chicago Cubs 3-1 on Monday to decide the division winner the Brewers got to rest until today’s matchup with the Rockies.

Chip Kelly Looks To Avoid 0-4 Start As UCLA Travels To Boulder

chip kelly ucla bruinsTwo teams that are coming off their bye week but are going in seemingly opposite directions collide in Boulder on Friday as the 3-0 Colorado hosts the 0-3 UCLA.

Although Chip Kelly was hired in the offseason to improve the Bruins offense UCLA is still looking for its first win of the season and struggling offensively, scoring about 17 points per game. Although the offense is not getting it done for the Bruins, they haven’t been nearly as half as bad as their defense which has allowed an average of about 37 point per game.

That is troubling considering that Colorado has been on fire so far this season as they are scoring about 41 points per game in 2018 and are looking forward to exploiting the Bruins’ struggling defense. Continue Reading →
